Trazodone - What's the chance of getting tardive dyskinesia from trazodone use. Is it low?

When I saw it listed as possibly causing tardive dyskinesia, I asked my very knowledgeable PCP who said that of all her patients taking it, she had never seen it cause that. She thought that it was extremely unusual. I have been taking Trazodone for well over 20 years and have not gotten the dreaded disease.

TD is much more of a concern with antipsychotic medications like masso said. It's very rare with antidepressants.
It is low.
With Antipsychotics it is more likely to develop TD, such as Seroquel, Zyprexa, Risperidone, the list goes on.
