I am having a face operation tomorrow and know I will be in pain for a week. I know I can take paracetamol and ibuprofen alternately every 2 hours, but could I take tramadol as well, especially at night?

Hi Anonymous, Hawkins did a great job, I just want to say something this is why it is good to always see the same doctor or at least tell them what else your taking and the same goes with the same Pharmacy And ask the Pharmacist too if there are any interactions with this prescription and what you are already taking. Hawkins just to let you both know about Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) That make sure the new maximum dose in 24 hours is 3 grams So when your in severe pain keep track of how many your taking and if there is any in anything else your taking better to be safe than sorry. have a great day
Yes you can, in fact you don't have to wait 2 hrs between the paracetomal and ibuprofen as they are from two different drug families. The main thing is that you can't overdose on paracetomal as that is very dangerous. When my children had bad ear infections, at the hospital would send them home Taking both.
I came home from hospital following a spontaneous necrosis being given Tramadol every four hours with nurofen and panedeine extra all at the same time. If I am in bad pain now, I take Tramadol with Osteo panaodol together. The doctors told me at the hospital that Tramdol is more effective when used in conjunction with panaodol. Hope this helps. Also I am on daily meloxicam which is a much stronger anti inflammatory than ibuprofen and it is fine to take other medications, that the doctor has approved with this. The above have all been approved.
