From what I have read it does not even work well. My mother was told she needs to switch from metformin to trajenta because of her kidneys. She has never had any problem with metformin. I hope trajenta will work for her but I am not sure how any one can afford it.

I'm in the same boat. In the donut hole on Medicare part D and so have to pay full price until I hit $4700 paid out of pocket. So the cost to me for my April prescription will be over $3000. Can't do it.
Contact the manufacturer. Most of them give financial assistance with those expensive meds to the point of paying only $10 or even getting it free.
