I have been on both. Tramadol for my spondyloarthritis helped little, but I have heard it works well for others w/ their pain. Tizanidine is a great muscle relaxer, but will knock you out. I would take one at night, and I'd be asleep w/in 5mins. You sleep well, which w/ pain is nice. But not helpful during the day because it will put you to sleep.

Tizanidine is used in the treatment of muscle spasm; cluster headaches and belongs to the drug class skeletal muscle relaxants.
