I have been on both. Tramadol for my spondyloarthritis helped little, but I have heard it works well for others w/ their pain. Tizanidine is a great muscle relaxer, but will knock you out. I would take one at night, and I'd be asleep w/in 5mins. You sleep well, which w/ pain is nice. But not helpful during the day because it will put you to sleep.
Hi, These medications belong to different drug groups and work in different ways. They both act on brain receptors to help relieve pain, but only Tramadol works in addition as an SSRI. Click on the links Masso has provided for more concise information...
Tizanidine is used in the treatment of muscle spasm; cluster headaches and belongs to the drug class skeletal muscle relaxants.
