Are you on any pain medication with the Tizanidine? I take oxycodone and it makes me so hot and sweaty sometimes that it is bothersome to take it at times. Even in the dead of winter I sweat like a racehorse! If you are on any opioid medications, they are probably your culprit rather than the tizanidine, but different drugs affect people differently so anything is possible. I just wondered if you were taking any opioids? Opioids are pretty notorius for making one sweat and some are worse than others.
Im taking diclofenac with it which is for imflammation and im taking seasonique which is my birthcontrol. I took my inflammation med this morning and didnt take the tizanidine and im not quite as hot but I did take 2 4mg before I went to bed.
Perhaps it is the tizanidine then. Everyone is different and may have different side effects. Mention it to your prescriber next time you see them.
I take tizanidine 4mg and I get sweats, but I take other med's too. Maybe try baclofen instead, and if you are mixing it, it could be just that.
Take Care
Skylar,
Looked it up and sweating and hot/cold issues weren't mentioned. But with any medication, anything is possible. If these symptoms are bothersome or continue, talk to your doc and/or the FDA. Zanaflex is supposed to relax muscle spasms, is it? Hope you feel better soon.
Also, didn't list any additional meds you might be on, so can't speak to drug interactions.
Peace,
Sweet Hippie
Unfortunately 3 to 6% people who take tizanidine do complain as one of its side effects of causing a flu like symptoms which perhaps make you sweat, if you think its too uncomfortable, please ask you doctor to prescribe an alternate med which would be more suited to your system.
take care, best wishes!

SeekNfind, where did you pick up Hindi from - namaste?
Rajive, yes Hindi. One of my passions is religion, so have studied many of the great ones over my lifetime. I don't know the language though, just a few words. "Namaste" says it all! My memory is not what it used to be but I have reverence for the Tenets of Hinduism. How's your foot doin?
One never knows what pops out of that women, she's amazing.

Honestly I could never ever understand a woman, no offense, just an honest statement.
Rajive,
you, like every other man walking the face of the earth, can't understand a woman. We are way different, our minds are hard wired differently, hormones are different ... we are different from you. And if I might say so, the difference is wonderful.
Laura
Laura,
Nevertheless humans after all, lol! Take care, best wishes!
