I have panic attacks and my doctor suggested I try l-theanine. I tried 100 mg two days in a row and I thought I had found the miracle supplement. It worked better than anything I have ever tried. However, on the third day, I took it just as I felt myself going into some anxiety and I had the worst panic attack I have ever had. The worst weakness and dizziness. I don't want to take it again in fear it made the attack worse or was it just the timing. I made the mistake of going online and the reviews made it sound horrible but the worst reviews were folks that were on other drugs and I don't take anything else. That supplement is amazing.
Please Help! l-theanine 100 mg?

Understand that any supplement is just a "Therapy" not a cure all. Taken over time, you should see positive results. But just three day in, you are just expecting a miracle drug, something most supplements will never be. Good luck to you.
I don't feel the worsened panic attack was related to the L-Theanine. The only things that I have experienced negative with it are sometimes a slight headache and moderate nausea if I take on an empty stomach.
Personally, if my anxiety hasn't calmed after 45 minutes of taking a 200mg dose, I take one more with positive results.
I don’t believe your panic has anything to do with l-theanine. I’ve taken it... it basically does nothing. My doctor told me, when it comes to supplements, you’re mostly wasting your money. They don’t pass the blood-brain barrier... making them pretty useless. Sorry.
