Thanks Kelly! I thought 18C would be better. Its just i've heard the ideal temperature is 20-25C and anything lower would be too cold? Is this not true? (I am storing Klonopin)
What is a better temperature for storing medication (benzos) long term? 18C or 27-29C?

Hello lizfromizz. Anywhere from 24 to 25C would be the temperature used for most all the benzodiazepines. Regards pledge
Certain medicines have specific storage recommendations depending on how stable the formulation is.
Generally a cool, dry, dark cupboard or drawer is ideal.
Here are the specific storage recommendations for Klonopin...
"Store at 25°C (77°F); excursions permitted to 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F)."
These recommendations can be found at:

You should always store meds in a dark place and try to keep the temp under 20C, the biggest mistake people make with meds is they store them in the bathroom, that is the wrong thing to do because of humidity. Hope this helps. It was a question I know alot about since I was a pharmacist for years. Lol
Good answer Kelly, that is correct.

Your welcome, anything higher then 25C is to much, I would say 18C is perfect, just try to keep the temp the same all the time. And keep the meds away from humidity, light, heat, etc. But you can store that meds and it will be fine just make sure you trash it after it expires.
