Had total knee replacement. Most day are not bad. But I do have miserable days. I have a prescription over a year old. Not sure of it's effectiveness. Wonder if it is to old?

The shelf life of NUCYNTA ER is 24 to 36 months and NUCYNTA is 36 months from the date of tablet manufacture, respectively.

i still have prescriptions for muscle relaxers. Neurontin..mobic..etc... they are all between 2012 to 2016 prescribed and they all still work when and if I take them..but I dont like any muscle relaxers or nerve pain medication... makes me too weak and immobile... hope this helps.. but yes... most medicines still work years beyond the expiration date..

I actually have a prescription of nucynta that is six years old. I'll take one when I have severe pain, and believe me, it's just as strong as when I first got the prescription!
