Is taking half of 0.25mg of Xanax still enough to help get rid of anxiety?
Like splitting it in half?

0.25mg is the lowest dose manufactured and splitting that in half would be .125mg and considered a very small dose but if that sustains your needs then that's a good thing considering how addictive benzodiazepines can be. Is your intake of 0.125mg Xanax only as needed or do you take this dose more than once a day? What does your prescription state?
0.25mg as needed, but I don’t want to waste a full one for what I have coming up. I just want something to slightly reduce the anxiety. I used to take two a day for school that I had once a week for 4 weeks, so I am not addicted to it!
That's great!
I didn't mean to imply that you were "addicted" I was just saying that they are often misused and are habit. very forming if not careful. Xanax are ONLY supposed to be prescribed (according to the FDA) "as needed or 'PRN"' and not for a long duration.
You are wise to do as you are doing. Believe me, benzodiazepines are a nightmare to get off of once your body is craving them it's a sign of tolerance or worse.
HI!
It's enough if it works for you... it all depends on how you respond to the lower dose.
Give it a try and see.
