The nephrologist knows all the meds I take and this clindamycin was for a painful inflamed finger, have been taking the mycin for 3 days and scheduled for four days more and then no more.
Will taking clindamycin for a few days interfere with the results of blood tests at the hospital?

Hi ira62hair. The answer is NO, you should have no problem taking the Cleocin® (clindamycin) during the time that you are having blood tests. The only thing I can think of that would come out differently while taking the clindamycin is a urine/blood cultures due to the Cleocin being in the blood and killing off a/the suspected bacteria. Hence the test for culture sensitivity--if ordered--would hopefully show that the antibiotic is working--and be lower level if at all--This is a good thing. Take care. >> RAY...
