I was taking 1 daily. My deflabotor went off and I increased it to 2 a day. Went to dr. And he increased it to 4 a day. After the third day I started having all of the bad side effects. Lasted for about 24 hours. Blood pressure was 200/98. Would come down when the side effect would ease up. 175/85. Stayed off them for two days and bp was 135/65. Went back to 2 a day. Went to dr. And he said I would have to go back to 2 a day. Seem to be able to be ok with these, still have some side effects. Has anyone had this type side effects? Thanks

I take the exact meds and MG. I take 2 a day 12 hours apart. My Dr. wanted to increase the dose to twice the MG. Wow, big time crash and side effects. Returned back to 3.125 twice daily with much less side effects. My system I am told is very reactive to medications, so I get baby dosed. I even have to print on my forehead that I am a "light weight" so the anesthesia doctor knows I have severe reactions to being put under. I have been on the medications for three years now. Symptoms still persist and have altered my life. Dizzy, and great fatigue, along with body muscle and joint pain are a major issue. I even had some other doctors think it was Fibromyalgia. Actually is is a typical side effect of all the symptoms side effect that mimic Fibromyalgia symptoms. I also have had vision issues, kidney issues, and migraine that leads me to the ER. Still doctors will not fully admit that on this very low does that such symptoms are possible. Yet my many trips and several days in CCU prove there is a issue yet not pinpointed. Bottom line, some of us out here are very sensitive to Coreg/Carvedilol and the symptoms manifest quickly with dose increase and manifest even at the low levels of 3.125 MG.
I have been on this Drug for eight years, and I have experienced all of the side-effects mentioned above. Currently, I take 25mg per day twice a day. I have found that this drug needs to interact with your body for a while for your body to learn it and likewise for you. First, best for me to take with some food. Second, don't stand up or come to a stop to fast.(I still struggle with both). Third, watch how it interacts with other medicines as I am now taking a steroid for another problem and my heart rate has surged. I'm calling my doctor today to adjust the dosage of which he is aware. If anything It will have to be increased.
