Can I take Zaleplon 10 mg and Oxycodone 10mg together?

My thoughts are to be careful with trying too many drugs to sleep. I just spent 2 years of hell getting off of ambien. It's been awful and hate to see anyone go thru this. I've tried every sleeping pill imaginable to get off of ambien, nothing worked. I was frantically most nights worried about sleep or if I would ever sleep. I totally get your situation, just offering you a broad perspective with the power of ambien. My sleep isn't great, but now I don't take anything, and it feels awesome. The most important aspect when taking strong medications, in this case an opioid (oxycodone), hypnotic/sedative (ambien active ingredient is zolpidem) and another sedative/hypnotic (zaleplon) is that if they all were prescribed by one Dr. or different Drs. is that they MUST be aware what medications you are on so they know about any POTENTIAL interactions of your medications and discuss them and clarify doubts with them.

The second most important is to know that every medication has a half-life, this means:

The half-life of a drug is an estimate of the time it takes for the concentration or amount in the body of that drug to be reduced by exactly one-half (50%). The symbol for half-life is t½.

Zaleplon is characterised by an ultrashort half-life (approximately 1 hour). Zolpidem and zopiclone have longer half-lives (approximately 2.4 and 5 hours, respectively).

Oxycodone:
Absorption: The onset of action is 10 to 30 minutes for the immediate-release formulation and about 1 hour for the controlled release. The plasma half-life is 3 to 5 hours, and stable plasma levels are reached within 24 to 36 hours. The duration ranges from 3 to 6 hours for immediate release or 12 hours for controlled-release formulations.

Now, if you can understand is not about how long you MUST wait, because even if you take oxycodone and want to wait let us say 2 hours to take another medication either Ambien (Zolpidem)
or Zaleplon (Either you take ambien or zaleplon not both, or you take the one prescribed by you Dr.(s) who know you are taking Oxycodone), you would still have Oxycodone in your bloodstream, because of the concept of half-life, so having said that we go back and this is why it is important your Dr. (s) know (s) what medications you are on, so he/she can outweigh the benefit of the combination outweighs the POTENTIAL risks involved and not put you in harms way, your Dr. (s) are responsible for your safety and treatment and you are responsible for informing them what you take before they prescribe a new medication, and finally you are the one taking the meds not them but information is key to having a successful treatment.

So I take it you take your meds at night, take them as prescribed by your Dr.(s).

I take Seroquel (quetiapine) belongs to the drug class of 2nd generation atypical antipshychtic (this means there are less potential side effects)
Ambien CR (controlled release) hypnotic/sedative drug class
Klonopin (clonazepam) benzodiazepine drug class

All were prescribed by the same Psychiatrist, they all have potential Major interactions, and take them all 3 at the same time for the past 20 years and nothing has ever happened to me, of course everyone is different and react differently to everything in life, specially chemicals-medications.
