What would be alternate to Celexa for a female, active, has GAD? I have been taking it 6 years and no longer feel it is working. Mind you over the years I have taken Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, Wellbutrin and Effexor. Paxil being the most effective..
Switching antidepressants..An alternative to Celexa?

Hi, Cottntail!
Your drug list sounds just like mine except I used Lexapro very successfully for over 7 years until it "pooped out" like your Celexa.
I can't take the standard antidepressants anymore so I'm on Wellbutrin and another medication called buspirone (BuSpar). It's kind of a 50/50 with buspirone... it works very well for some people (like me) and does nothing for others but has relatively few side effects. It might be worth investigating.
Best regards and I hope you find something that works well for you.
Thank you WildcatVet!
I know I have tolerated and took Wellbutrin long ago and it actually curbed by smoking. And the other one, I think my brother has taken so ..on that note thank you. It's all about the combo sometimes.
Appreciate it and Happy 4th!
