My brother is being given carfilozomib for waldenstroms. He experienced severe burning at the infusion site which lasted for the entire 30 minute infusion. Is it possible to add lidocaine to his infusion bag or as a piggyback to treat the burning. The infusion is given in a peripheral iv site.
