When my tooth abcessed, i had to see my personal doctor who prescribed me Percocet for the pain and an antibiotic called Cipro (500 mg). It took me a week to get to my dentist but the Cipro definitely helped in the swelling and of course the percocets knocked out the pain. However, I strongly encourage you to get to a dentist as soon as possible. Infections in your mouth are nothing to play with, it can get up into your sinuses and can even be life threatning if it gets to the brain.
