Stomach bloating with lisinopril. Just started 4 days ago, stomach bloating off and on. Does this?

Probably not. I have a history of taking meds, and if your system disagrees it most likely will not stop. There are many other BP meds you can try.

my stomach started bloating within a week of starting Lisinopril. I showed my doctor how big it got when I took the pill. I went off of it for several days and my stomach slimmed down. It still causing
bloating when I take it. It also caused me to gain 26 lbs. The doctor wont take me off of it.
MY advice is to get another drug. I read where it may cause other problems and was involved in lawsuit.

I have 5 days now n my stomach has been bloated have a hard time. Nauseous is also accompanied by it too..

it CAN take 2-3 weeks to settle w stomach issues

aamamc; Sorry you have not gotten an answer yet. But it does list several side effects with stomach from indigestion to sour stomach ,bloating and stomach discomfort or upset
swelling So you may want to call your doctor and double check. It does say take with a full glass of water without regards to food. But best to see what the doctor says about the stomach problems hope this helps you out..Chuck1957 Have a good day.

Thanks for the help! I've also started lexapro so... I'm kind of adjusting to both I think.

Yes it could be a combination of both now that you mention the Lexapro it can do that also. This is hard when you start 2 or more different medications to tell which is doing what.Just give it some time it can take a few weeks for the lexapro a few weeks to settle down.then up to 6 to 8 weeks to give you a good and steady blood level to make you feel better.JUST remember to take it at the same time or close each day.
