Yes wellbutrin can make a person mean you may need to switch to another one or lower the dosage. It helped me years ago with Prozac. I am thinking about taking 150mg xl in the morning along with my cymbalta 60mg that I take at night.I have breathing problems enough and heard that wellbutrin could make that worse. The cymbalta helps some with pain for me not depression at all. Doctor is saying take two 60mg at night so far I have just taken one. Anyone gotten any improvement from taking 120mg of cymbalta vs 60mg. God bless
your doc switched you to wellbutrin instead of adding them together? I was moved onto wellbutrin 100mg twice a day and the irritation/aggitation was out of this world!!! I am adding my cymbalta back to see if i can be myself again. just fyi
Hello tmhh,
When you wrote to us last you were only 3 days into the new med regime. How are you doing now? Your mood is more stable I hope... let us know!

Yes it can cause you to be anxious, and ill I have learned to pay attention to this , but it does level off in a couple weeks. The benefits far out weigh the early side effects. As a guy it does not cause erectile dysfunction like some ad's and really does enhance orgasm. Also weight gain is not a problem
Dear tmhh,
Just as Pamee wisely said, there is a % of individuals who experience agitation with Bubroprion/Wellbutrin. It sounds like you are very tuned in to your mental state and your body, which is great.
I agree-let the Doc know right away. There is no reason you should have to continue feeling worse than you already do!
Good luck with getting this sorted out. Please keep us posted.

Hello tmhh123,
Wellbutrin can cause agitation and anxiety as well. Wellbutrin is a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor (NDRI) norepinephrine is what causes the agitation and anxiety. Also coming off the cymbalta may increase the agitation and anxiety. It takes some people 2-3 months before they no longer experience the agitation. You probably should let your Dr know what you're experiencing and he or she will more than likely try you on another antidepressant.
I hope you are feeling better soon.

Well my dr had me on 60 mg of cymbalta, then 150 of Wellbutrin Valium 2 times a day and trazadone and doxepine at night. She took me off the Wellbutrin but a week later I had to call at 10pm for her to fill a script bc I felt crazy and insane. I've looked up all my meds just now I'm on 5 they are all the same type of anti depressant. I grew up with ADHD and my dr is saying it's anxiety and wants me to go to a specialist that costs 1635 for a test to say if I have anxiety ADHD or a mood disorder. I think if I come off the cymbalta slowly them start getting treated for ADHD like I had been for 15 years Itight be better but my moods are so up n down it's awful. I need help
I also have to go see her every 4 weeks 125 insurance doesn't cover I thought after 2 years my meds would be right and i would only have to go every 3 to 6 months. Does anyone know anyone in Fort Worth tx area of a good dr? I cannot keep on like this I'm a crazy lady! Thanks guys and gals
