I'm drinking half as much--so good--but can't make the leap to abstinence. Any suggestions?

Nal actually keeps helping you reduce over time. It isn't like Antabuse where the goal is flat out abstinence out the gate. If your goal is to drink nothing at all, you will get there in time because you will gradually lose interest due to a lack of positive reinforcement with chemical signaling in your brain. If you want to fully quit immediately, you might have the willpower to do so, but it isn't a guarantee. Try giving yourself goals of 3 days, 5 days, 10 days without alcohol, but take breaks to drink in between so that you start to feel what it's like to not have an alcoholic brain that does a happy dance as soon as you drink.
