what would keep me from waking up during the night is my main question. Been taking benzos for sleep for over 10 years, mainly Xanax, but i tried Valium thru my doctors permission and found out i feel more groggy in the morning after taking 2 10mgs of Valium.
Whats better for sleep, Valium or Xanax?

Neither of these meds is a benzo meant for sleep. Try Dalmane. It is a benzo sleep med designed for sleep.
Well well unfortunately I'm wondering how many milligrams you taking on Xanax you say you take two 10 mg of volume to help you go to sleep I don't know if you tried any other medications that might help because these two drugs are very dangerous trust me I know but if you ask me and I had no choice but those two I'll take 0.5 of volume with something hot tea coffee I wish you looking at journey and God bless you
I would guess Valium, because it has a longer half-life.
Why are they dangerous if I take my doctors prescription for 10 years. I don’t drink or take any other downers . If my doctor thought they were dangerous he would not prescribe to me. On Xanax I take 2 1mg at night. Still works but just wondering is Valium a better option. Nothing else helps me, tea, essential oil’s, melatonin (rip off). The only thing I didn’t like about the Valium is I felt groggy this morning , were the Xanax I don’t.
Maybe your Valium dose is too high?
