I'm having a problem with feeling woozy and periodically feeling nauseous.
What side effects have you had when reducing venlafaxine from 150mg to 112mg?

Hi, Elissa!
Did you reduce your dose yourself or under your doctor's supervision and how are you taking 112mg?
You're probably experiencing symptoms similar to discontinuation.
If your doctor didn't order this reduction you might want to get their professional advice about a tapering dose schedule. You would also want to rule out any other cause.
Best regards and I hope you're feeling better soon.
Hi WildcatVet and thanks for your quick response.
Yes a Doctor did recommended going to 75mg plus 37.5. I've done this before and didn't have a problem.
Over the 18 years that I've been taking Venlafaxine, I have tried, this will be my 5th attempt of getting off this drug, due to headaches, insomnia and night sweats. I don't know which is the lesser of two evils. It's the hardest thing, to reduce the dosage without the side effects.
If anyone has had a successful experience in stopping this drug, please share.
You will be in withdrawal because you've reduced too much. The best thing to stop these symptoms is to increase your dosage to 150 then continue to decrease by no more than 10% every month. These symptoms won't go away quickly, feeling nauseous, dizzy, emotional, insomnia, tinnitus, gut problems, water retention, and a whole lot more are why coming off this poison is so tough. But keep at it, it'll take longer than you first thought but worth it if you do it slowly. Good luck!
