I have been taking sertraline for 4 months now had nearly all the side affects but my hair has gone quite thin it does say it’s a side effect but will it stop.

Unfortunately, drug induced hair loss/alopecia usually doesn't resolve like other side effects with time.
Talk to your doctor because sometimes the best option may be to discontinue the sertraline and switch to a different antidepressant. Just because the hair loss occurs with one doesn't necessarily mean it will with another.
The good news is that once the medication is stopped hair regrowth almost always recurs after a couple of months.
