Diverticulitis is inflammation of an abnormal pouch (diverticulum) in the intestinal wall, usually found in the large intestine (colon). The symptoms include stomach pain and tenderness (usually lower left side), which may be constant and last for a few days, nausea and vomiting, fever and constipation or diarrhoea.
Mild diverticulitis can be treated with rest, changes in your diet and antibiotics. Severe or recurring diverticulitis may require surgery.
Gas X contains simethicone which helps to relieve pressure and pain caused from gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines. While Gas X will probably not help your symptoms it certainly won't do any harm.
