Hi im breastfeeding mum,im underweight my baby is 11 months i heard this tablet can gain weight for 5 to 7 pounds a week.sometimes i feel ashame of myself.everytime i go out everyone staring at me saying im too skinny.so i tried a lot but none works so i wanted to try this,question is do i need to ask my gp if i can take this tablets while breastfeeding?thanks for you're response really appriatte it x.

Firstly NO. In GIANT letters:
"Do NOT use cyproheptadine if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in cyproheptadine
you are breast-feeding"

That's a bit random having a go at me three years after the fact. I did not pretend to be a doctor and drugs.com explicitly states that the information provided here is not to be used a substitute for medical advice.
