Hello, I hope you are all well. So, i was prescribed tramadol for pain, but i was amazed as to how my depression also got better. I have been severely depressed for many months now, i had lost motivation to live or to do anything at all. I just wanted to isolate myself and cry the whole day, i lost 10kg because i wasn't eating well because of the depression. But after starting taking tramadol for pain, my mood was lifted, and the emotional pain significantly reduced, i was able to laugh again, i can work well and do other tasks well, and i felt happy. I realised it significantly helped with my depression and anxiety. I want to take 150mg a day. My question is, Is it safe to take 75mg in the morning and 75mg in the evening? Thank you.
Is it safe to take 75mg of tramadol in the morning, and 75mg in the evening?

Hi everybody's body has a different reaction to meds. I took tramadol for pain 6 @ a time & for me it was like eating popcorn. Always discussing dosage with your dr. Is advised & YES asking someone else whom has taken it before is a plus, as for me it was a zero.
The maximum daily dose is 400mg or 300mg if you're using the Tramadol ER. But you must consult with your doctor before you make any dosage adjustment.

PS, "Tramadol has an average rating of 9.2 out of 10 from a total of 186 reviews for the off-label treatment of Depression. 90% of reviewers reported a positive experience, while 4% reported a negative experience."
And remember that it can be addictive with large dosages or long term use.
Hey thank you for your answer. So maximum dose for tramadol ER is 400 or 300mg. What would be the maximum dose for tramadol immediate release? I'm using tramadol immediate release. (Duocetz- paracetamol + tramadol).
I mistyped that... it should read 400mg for immediate release BUT the dosing is different with paracetamol (acetaminophen):
"The dose of tramadol and acetaminophen will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label. The following information includes only the average doses of tramadol and acetaminophen. If your dose is different, do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do so."
"For oral dosage form (tablets):
For acute pain:
Adults—2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed for up to 5 days. Do not take more than 8 tablets per day."
I think it would be best to ask your doctor about this.
