People always say they have op's and I don't know what they mean
My roommate was prescribed op's for pain and I don't know what he is saying?

So in order to understand your question better are you saying you don't understand what ops are or are you implying you don't know what he's saying after being in the emergency room after taking op's?
Either way op's mean opioids and in the ER they are generally given because the doctors feel that the patient is in a significant amount of distress and pain that warrants an opioid.
Now if you don't understand what he is saying it may be because the opioid they gave him is TOO STRONG and it's making him a little on the loopy side. Continue to monitor him and prayerfully they followed nationwide protocol and also gave him some narcan w/his rx in case there are any issues such as an overdose because the medication is too strong for him.
