I have been prescribed 50 mg tramadol for my pain. Can I give that to my dog for his pain. He is about 60 pounds so I believe I would give him half 25 mg?

As a veterinarian, I must advise you NOT to administer ANY medication to your pet without consulting with your veterinarian first. You may not be aware of underlying conditions that could cause the dog to become toxic.

1800 Pet Meds says 0.45-1.8 mg/lb. So 25 mg is probably a good idea.
