I have suffered so badly with constipation and nothing otc helped me at all and believe me I have tried everything and without a colonic I just cannot have a movement until now that the medication Linzess has come out. I just started it a couple of weeks ago and finally I am now able to have bowel moments even on my other medications which was just not possible before with even taking exlax or stool softeners or anything so if you don't mind adding another medication when you wake 30 minutes before breakfast give it a try, it's the relief I have been searching for for the past 30 years !! Finally relief!!! I hope it helps you!
I'm also on Tramadol and take 400-800 mg magnesium oxide every night for the constipation it causes. I order mine from Vitacost.
Many times this can be controlled by diet. But if that is not working you should talk to your doctor or the pharmacist and get a stool softener or laxative before it gets too bad. this is a common problem so the sooner you get started the better.
