My doctor blew me off and said it was just anxiety. Meanwhile, another doctor I was seeing in the practice wanted to do surgery for adhesions. I'm not looking to get high. I am in severe pain everyday. I do not appreciate this label because I'm only telling the truth about my symptoms. Where do I go from here?
How do I get the red flag removed from me? I am being seen for chronic pelvic pain?

Ask your doctor to refer you to pain management. that is what i did. i am a nurse and health care sucks right now. i wish i could talk to you more about what is going on.
I don't need a referral for pain management. What is a consult with them like?
Boy, i agree with you about healthcare. To think that we have to watch people in pain and can't give them anything because drs are afraid of our government. It makes me sick. Pain management in Virginia is almost extinct.
Kai, I know someone else on this site who lives in Virginia, and they can't find any resources for medical attention and medicine. WTheck is going on with our country? I just don't get it.
Like everything else we over react and do the wrong thing. Idiots abuse drugs so lets not let any one have them. They forget that the drugs on the street come from across the border not from docs. They didn't learn from banning alcohol that all they are doing is creating/increasing illegal use.
I don't drink, but I'm curious about where they banned it.
pickles,
I think KM is talking about Prohibition in the 1920's and 1930's. It was a joke and an open door for organized crime to profit, just like foreign drug suppliers profit today.

And those suppliers are laughing at us because they now have a whole new client base.

I am also in Virginia for a pretty rare disease, especially for someone my age, that causes painful and debilitating bone death. I just had surgery on both hips on Wednesday. They prescribed six days of low dose pills, instead of the documented necessity of pain management for 1-3 months minimum for this kind of invasive and major surgery.
The fear of back lack for prescribing is preventing effective care. Without amy mamagement, I will only get worse.
It really sucks that doctors are too scared to treat patients.
