I have been cleaning the wound with soap and water. I also applied neosprin to the wound and a bandage with gauze wrap around my thumb. I think I might of cut a nerve and an artery from the knife. Now my thumb has been numb ever since it happened. This is the third day and I haven't seen any doctor yet also my thumb can barely bend. Is there any possibility that I will regain feeling or complete movement in my thumb again if I don't get it stitched or surgery hasn't been done it? Please help my hand is opened really wide.
I recently got my hand cut by a knife. The cut was between my thumb and index finger about 1cm deep?

Did the bleeding stop? it's probably too late to get sutures due to cauglation, the nerve will regenerate in time, if few months go by and you get bundle of mass still no feeling beyond that insicion you might develope a neuroma. In that case you may want a microsurgery to try to clear pathway for nerve to regenerate beyond that point.
Thanks for the helpful response. I'm hoping my nerves regenerate with due time I'm praying everyday that I regain feeling. I work full time and I don't have the time to take off work for surgery.
I suggest someone takes you to the ER.
I'm with Masso, you need to see a microsurgeon for nerve repair if it is still possible.
