How to quit cannabis? I suffer from fibromyalgia which causes chronic pain, insomnia, and have a lot of stress in life. I keep slipping up! I'm on a drug to reverse my fibromyalgia and cannabis blocks the drug from working.
Must quit cannabis because of drug interaction?

My psychiatrist has me on 20 mg of Latuda for anxiety (I'm nether schizophrenic nor bi-polar), and 75 mg of Effexor for depression. I'm very sensitive to drugs.

It would help to know which medication cannabis as you say is blocking.
I ran an interaction check and both medications you are on, the atypical antipsychotic and the antidepressant SNRI are not as you put it blocked by the use of cannabis:
Interactions between your drugs
Moderate
venlafaxine cannabis (Schedule I substance)
Applies to: Effexor (venlafaxine), cannabis
Using venlafaxine together with cannabis (Schedule I substance) may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Some people, especially the elderly, may also experience impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Also avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs.
Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
cannabis (Schedule I substance) lurasidone
Applies to: cannabis, Latuda (lurasidone)

They all have moderate interactions meaning:
Moderate
Moderately clinically significant. Usually avoid combinations; use it only under special circumstances.

This is what I understand from the information you have provided. You are using cannabis and Effexor off label to treat FM. I don't understand why your Psychiatrist doesn't prescribe the more traditional medications for treating the symptoms of FM:
Lyrica (Pregabalin)
Neurontin (Gabapentin) off label
Cymbalta (Duloxetine)
I am sorry if I referred to "symptoms" of FM and not chronic pain.
My mother suffers from FM.
Cannabis definitely blocks the Guaifenesin I'm taking to reverse my fibromyalgia, sorry I forgot to mention this! Brain fog again lol.
You never mentioned you were on Guaifenesin, l am not good at guessing if you didn't provide all the information required in order to properly answer your question!!!
Re-read your post.
Sorry, I did not read your full comment! lol
