I am 25, with all the interest in the world in making love to my husband and father of my 3 beautiful babies. Today, however, what would have been an EXTREMELY EROTIC love making session, foreplay, toys, all attention on me, slow unpredictable penetration etc. (See, got you going, rright!? Me too!) But NO ORGASM! Where, two days ago, while taking Wellbutrin, or previously (a month ago) I would have had upwards of 5, 6, 7 or more with all the extra attention he gives me. Nothing has changed in w days except starting Fluoxetine 20 mg for PTSD, Anxiety, depression.
I have 2 ?'s... any women experience sexual differences, loss of orgasm in particular? Did it subside?
2 is I have felt i've been in a haze the lat 15 years, will fluoxitine help? THANK YOU. And God bless you for your time

You’ve probably found out since then, but yes, it is the Prozac. Took me 8 months to figure out the connection because there was absolutely zero information on it anywhere. This was very shortly after the VA began releasing it for prescription, when I put it together I marched into my psychiatrist’s office and said, “hey, Prozac takes away orgasms! You didn’t tell me that! ” he turned beet red and was so flustered. I’m the most open woman he has ever known! Turns out he didn’t know. Most doctors didn’t know at that time. It’s patients like us that supply this information, most people can’t talk about sexual things. Prozac turned it completely off for me. All the other SSRI's did too. Effexor didn’t at first. I used it for a two year episode and got off, then I needed it again a few years later and it made orgasm take forever to achieve.
Lexapro killed it so I quit, it was another two years before orgasms came back. Then four years I broke my back and the pain medicines I use have shut it down almost completely. It takes forever and then it’s so incredibly mild that I’m not really sure I had one. I’m working towards getting off the pain medicines a little at a time. I’m old not dead, I want my sex life back! Oh, and after so many years of depression and PTSD with all it’s symptoms, the best help I have found was never any drug. It’s TMS, transcranial magnetic stimulation. 20 minute treatment a day,
5 days a week,
4 to 6 weeks. I had some side effects, headaches, and for about a week or two, a kind of feeling of not entirely being there. I napped afterwards and that helped.
Thank you Cush :) I am sorry for your exxperience and thank you for your time. Hope you're feeling better now
I personally have a vendetta with Prozac and its manufacturers I was on this unpredictable drug when its manufacturers went to the FDA for approval they hid some of the more serious side-effects. The story broke on CNN I attempted to take my life while on Prozac 3 times one of the side-effects hidden from the FDA. After watching the CNN broadcast I threw what I had left down the toilet. I'm no expert nor a proponent of this mysterious drug if your Wellbuterin was working for you and only you can know then you know what to do. Besides the anti-depreesive Wellbuterin there is quite literally a cavalcade of other drugs at your disposal. I suggest a little internet research or further perusal of this site. Make notes add questions arm yourself then see your doctor(s).
