Cholestyramine powder, upon research seems to be gluten free, but the only way to be sure is to contact the manufacturer. Although I am not familiar with what it does, it seems likely to effect the bowel. The forum on Celiac.com had some information about it.
Think of yourself as a detective. A detective with really good stomach radar that only works with hindsight. There are only a few sources I really trust. Celiac.com is helpful, as are glutenfree.com, celiac.org, and celiaccentral.org. Also glutenfreedrugs.com is basically a list of gluten free drugs, rx and otc, that is constantly updated. Oh, and phenylalanine is aspartame, an artificial sweetener frequently in diet sodas. Good luck! Sorry I didn't see your question sooner.
cholestyramine, gluten free, gluten
