Why would I be prescribed clotrimazole knowing I take Seroquel if they have moderate interactions that can be severe? Am I safe taking these two drugs together or should I ask for something else?
I was prescribed clotrimazole troche and I also take Seroquel?

If your Dr. knew you were on Seroquel and still prescribed Clotrimazole Troche he/she most likely is aware of the potential interaction between both meds and outweighed the benefits are greater than the risks involved. Now, if your Dr. did not know you are on Seroquel I suggest you do not take Clotrimazole Troche until you can talk to your Dr. and let him/her know the potential interaction between both meds.
I also take Seroquel and other meds which interact and have moderate to major potential interactions and for the past 25 years I have been fine, but it has been the same Dr. that prescribed all my meds knowing the potential interactions involved.
I agree with masso... your doctor (if they prescribed both medications) likely determined that the benefits far outweigh the risk. Even moderate interactions aren't all that common.
I'm taking seven medications some of which have moderate/major interactions and have had no problems.
I would suggest that you take your concerns to your doctor who is more aware of your medical history and current symptoms.
