I had an allergic reaction and asthma attack so they prescribed me it. I usually ween off but not this time. Just want to calm my anxiety since today was the last day and won't be taking it again tomorrow.
I was prescribed 40mg of prednisone for 4 days for asthma then just stopping. Is it safe?

I know many people who have taken it for a few days and just stopped with no problem. Actually my wife was only given three tabs when she was having breathing problems and a the doc didn't have her taper.
No it's not safe you have to ween yourself off of it !! Hope u get well soon!!!
After just 4 days its probably ok to just stop it.
I do not understand your question, but one thing I know , is that you must stop taking this corticosteroid gradually.
Like is it safe to just stopped taking 40mg after 4 days like I was told to?
Someone close to me takes prednisone from time to time and she always stops taking it gradually in order to stop side effects from affecting her.
If you abruptly stop taking the drug or taper off too quickly, you might experience prednisone withdrawal symptoms:
Severe fatigue
Weakness
Body aches
Joint pain
The amount of time it takes to taper off prednisone depends on the disease being treated, the dose and duration of use, and other medical considerations. A full recovery can take anywhere from a week to several months. If you experience prednisone withdrawal symptoms as you are tapering off the drug, contact your doctor.

So I'll experience side effects even if I only took for 4 days?
I strongly suggest you speak to your Dr.
