A buddy of mine decided to be a jerk and spiked a coke of mine with 125mg of disulfiram yesterday before I get on a plane to Jamaica with my family. I'm not a drinker really at all (maybe 4 glasses of wine in the last month), but I was definitely planning on having a pina colada or two on the beach!
Am I out of luck for the whole week? How long do I have to wait?
I'm 5'10, 220lb, male.
Following a single dose of Antabuse (Disulfiram), the body may react to any amount of alcohol for up to 14 days. The half life of this medication is between 60 to 120 hours.
Great, so even in a super low dose single use like 125mg I'm screwed for the whole trip? Or, at least it is a big risk all trip?
Watch it turn out that it wasn't even disulfiram and he is just screwing with me.
