Hi guys i took plan b 3 times in the same month and I’m stressed because I haven’t gotten my period n I been feeling nauseous I’m scared
Wow so taking multiple plan bs is very common, lol, One time I took 3 plan bs in 2 weeks as well, i did not end hp pregnant, although i did get cramps, and was extremely horny, like i had the urge to have sex all the time. This was like this for about a week. (ended up mastubaying instead lol). I had my period late, but again i did not get pregnant. But yeah i was fine afterward. My period has been normal since.
Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me out because I’m in a similar situation. So I took 2 plan b pills with in one month the most recent time being early may. Which was the last pill. My period was due around may 17th I haven’t got any period at all and home tests show negative. Did you girls skip a whole month and not get it but got it the following month?
Yes that happened to me. I came on my period in the beginning of the month, after the skipped month.
did you end up getting pregnant? just curious
My girlfriend took 3 plan b pills at the same time after 5 days. Would she be consider pregnant? Help please!
i think i cn't be pregnant
Hi did you end up pregnant or have pain ?

Let me know what happens . please and thank you
It won’t bring it on…
I'm in a really really similar situation to you, can you let me know how you got on? Were you pregnant in the end? Please reply asap I'm panicking
I would also like to know. I'm in a VERY simular situation and I need to know if you ended up pregnant or not. I'm freaking out.
Still playing the waiting game and it's the most frustrating thing ever I've taken two home pregnancy tests and both negative but my period is about a week late at this stage, hopefully just from the pill but I won't relax until it comes! How has your situation turned out?
can you answer my question i dont really know the time n hours but wondering can i still take it but iam young but mistakes happen
If you had unprotected sex 3 times, & each time took PlanB within the required time scale, then in terms of pregnancy, you should be fine.
What you have done is given your body a massive dose of hormones when you took it the first time, which should only be used as an essential emergency contraceptive, at most, once in a cycle. By taking it 3 times in weeks, you have significantly overdosed, & you will likely suffer the effects, in terms of missed periods, very heavy bleeding and/or irregular bleeding, and you may feel very hormonal, for some time. This can also be very unhealthy for you, in the longterm.
*by taking it 3 times in 2 weeks
Thank you so much for your replies yes I definitely feel hormonal at times I hope I should be fine I did take one for each incident within less than 6 hours thank u I will definitely not do this to my body again . Does it matter whether I was ovulating or not ? I'm not sure if i was
You can only become pregnant if you are ovulating. Usually, sperm dies within a few hours of being unused inside of us. In the days leading up to ovulation, our normal discharge becomes thickened and gummy (a bit like egg yolk), & is able to protect sperm inside of our body & keep it alive, so in the days leading up to your ovulation (around 5-6 days before the egg is released) sperm can live & still fertilise the egg all those days later.
If you monitor your periods & symptoms, you can usually tell when in your cycle you are ovulating, although this isn't a risk free method of not getting pregnant, but it can be good to get to know your body. I use a website called mymonthlycycles.com as it can help you chart your daily symptoms & has an ovulation calculator, to help you learn about your fertility & body.
The reason I know how bad the effects of taking several emergency contraception pills can be, is because I did it myself, & suffered all of the symptoms I mentioned to you :-/
So then if I was ovulating at the time I will be pregnant ? I'm really worried now I messed up badly. Wow really so you were missing periods? That sucks I'm getting really hormonal and moody it sucks :(
No, it's very unlikely because you used emergency contraception within the timescale stated.
What I was saying was when in your cycle you are fertile, without contraception.
I had very heavy bleeding, & my hormones took weeks to settle down, as a result of taking the pill more frequently than advised. I was pretty emotional for a couple of weeks, but everyone's body is different.
I don't think you are pregnant. I think it's just a case of sitting it out until your periods come back into a regular cycle again.
Try not to worry x
Thank you so Much for your help. How long after the pills you took did u begin bleeding? I just want to get my period already it hasnt even been a week but im just paranoid from seeing stuff that plan b does nothing on ovulation days or is not as effective if used the way i did. Yeah I'm just worried but I'm glad to know u shared a similar experience. Yeah I am emotional too so I'm guessing its the same symptoms . Thank you so much
I've had different reactions to the morning after pill/emergency contraceptive. On one occasion I bled the day after taking the pill, for about 5 days, & it was v. heavy. Then it stopped for a week, & then I got my proper period.
On another occasion, I didn't bleed at all, & then got my period 1 week later than it should have been.
With taking so many pills in a short space of time, your body won't know what's hit it, & you'll likely find your periods could be pretty erratic & possibly you may get irregular bleeding for a while, rather than just your normal period once a month. I'd expect it to settle down in a couple of months, though. You may be lucky & once this next period comes, you may find you settle back down straight into your regular pattern. It's hard to predict, because everyone's body reacts differently to things like this.
Don't forget that stress can also delay your period. If you're anxious about this, then it possibly isn't helping.
I know how horrible the waiting game is. I've been there. Each time I'd panicked over nothing, though.
With regards to Plan B & ovulation - it is thought to work in several ways. 1 is to delay ovulation (the time at which you are fertile), another is to make the lining of the womb unsuitable for a pregnancy to form there, & another is that it thickens the mucus at the neck of the womb to prevent sperm reaching an egg.
That means that even if it was too late to prevent ovulation, it will still work in the other two ways, to prevent pregnancy.
Ugh good to hear . I feel much more relieved it is torture to wait. I hate thinking and stressing all day but you're right it won't make it any better and I'm hoping I'm stressed over nothing. I feel much more relieved with the information you shared. I'm hoping for the best and to not repeat this . Thank you so much for your response . The last time I took plan b which was the 3rd I took it because we did use protection but I panicked because I seen white stuff inside me when I checked at home does it matter if any got in me as long as I took plan b ? sorry if too much info. I just hope it's still effective since I took the pills back to back in less than a week
You are welcome.
The white stuff could be the previous planb pills, thickening the mucus to prevent sperm passing.
If you have any redness or itching, it could also be thrush. Given that you've taken the pills, I'd say it's extra thick mucus because of how they work, but if you get any other symptoms then get checked out with your Doctor, to be certain.
Also, if previous times were unprotected, you'd be at risk of STDs, but I'm assuming you've considered that & addressed any concern, & am only mentioning it before someone jumps on the thread & tells me I should have raised it.

No you're right and no he's clean and He was my first and only and no it's not itching and It feels normal it was just that white stuff I saw its gone now though . Right now I had light pink when I wiped myself I hope it means plan b worked I hope to get more bleeding later lol thanks a lot I feel less stressed out at least seriously thank you so much for your answers . :)) I just want to go back to normal .
Pleased to have helped a bit. I had that pink spotting after using planB a few yrs ago, for a few days, then it stopped, before I finally got my period about a week after.
Be sure to tell the boyfriend that he's going to have to be extra patient & nice to you, while your hormones are all upside down :)
Oh ok great :) hope it's the same case with me . And I will let him know haha
Hey I need your advice once again. I'm kind of sure I'm not pregnant but still scared when I told u I started spotting pink it turned to brown then red blood but usually came down when I went to the restroom. It only lasted like two days which is not what my period is usually . And now I'm just bloated :( lol do you think this is normal? Should I expect more periods soon?
Hi there
Yes, that's exactly what happened to me the last time I used that form of emergency contraception. About a week after that happened, I got my proper period.
Because you've taken several doses over a short period, you may find that you have more of that irregular 'spotting' or bleeding, & it could be a couple of months before your body settles back into a regular pattern again.
You can always see your doctor or family planning advisor if you are worried, but I think you'll find it's just a matter of sitting it out & letting your body find its regular cycle again, as the hormones rebalance.

Hey again :) I bled on the 7th but only last two days and didn't seem like a period ^ remember ? Well today I bled only brown discharge wich was light pink at first . It only goes down when I go to the restroom but then. Brown little tissue or clots came out as well then now it just stopped I don't even think I need a pad it barely got anything on there and it's really light brown. What do you think ? Did u experience weird bleeding ?
Yes, exactly what you are describing. This is more like 'Spotting', which is normal under the circumstances. Your hormones are just adjusting & whilst they settle, you're going to have all sorts of weirdness, unfortunately. Just a case of sitting it out x
If I take plan b twice after one time of unprotected sex. Will that help ensure no pregnancy?

This should have been posted as a new question, rather than a comment on someone else's 2 year old question. It's just lucky that I saw it.
Plan B is not 100% guaranteed to prevent pregnancy, so there is always a chance it won't work. It is less reliable than regular hormonal birth control pills.
If you were right on your fertile time of the month (ovulating/releasing eggs) then it is unlikely Plan B will work at all, because the way it works in to delay ovulation until the sperm leaves your body (up to 7 days in the right vaginal/cervical mucus).
If you tell me whether your period is always regular every month, & what date the last one started, I will try to give you an idea of whether or not you were fertile at the time you had sex.

I answered the the first time you posted that!
Can you take 2 pill within 3 days?
Can you take 2 pill within 3 days?
Can you take 2 pills within 3 or 4 days? I kind of worry so, i just think it will work better? I know ot will effect a lot. Would she be fine? Would it be fine to take take 2 pill within 3-4 days?
You'd get a quicker response if you posted your own question, rather than hijacking someone else's thread.
No, taking more than 1 pill in one go, has been shown to be no more effective than 1.
If you have to take a further dose because you had more unprotected sex, that is a different matter. You aren't covered against any further episodes of unprotected sex, once you have taken Plan B. That's according to the Manufacturer. You'd therefore need to take a further dose, or use one of the other methods of emergency contraception, if this occurred.
However, taking 2 doses of Plan B so close together, is likely to cause a lot of unpleasant hormonal symptoms, & mess up the menstrual cycle for several months.
Your answer sucks, and I don't like your tone.
You speak on a subject that could likely be caused by stress and then go into full detail about "what" this person's "done", "hormonally".
I hope you're not a real doctor; but, if you are, please do yourself and your patients a favor and relax. Unless it could be something serious medically, back off with the Judgement.
Your job is literally just to be in the same side as yor client.
It can be bad in the long term though, so thats useful to know.
