Ok. Do you have a question?
That was my question ?
You gave us some information, but I don't know what it is you want to know about it, as you didn't ask a question. What would you like to know about Plan B & ovulation & sex?
Are you asking if you'll start you period in 4 days?
No I’m due to start in 2 days. We had sex the first Saturday of February and the day before (first Friday in February) my app said high chance of pregnancy. So after we did it Saturday I went and got a PlanB and took it. I was asking if I was gonna still have my period cause of when I had sex. I took a test and it said negative but my mind is none stop thinking over and over
Ah it's impossible to say, as Plan B can mess up your periods for months, in some women.
The only emergency pill proven can prevent pregnancy during the 24 hours around ovulation, itself, is Ella (Ulipristal Acetate). Even that pill is not guaranteed, though.
If you were at a high chance of pregnancy, you may have been better going for that pill, if available.
Plan B might work, but it's never been proven to, if you're that close to ovulation.
If that pill was unavailable, the other option, alongside Plan B, would be to have a Paragard IUD fitted by a doctor, within 5 days of the sex, to try to prevent implantation, if the Plan B failed.
A pregnancy test taken this early, would not be accurate.
We’ll see I’ve took a plan b before during my high pregnancy day and it worked I had my period that month. I’ve just never taken one the day after. Since Friday was my high chance I didn’t wanna do it then and then Saturday that night is when we did it and Sunday I went and got the pill. I was ovulating for 7 days this month
Sorry that I cant offer anything more definite.
I recommend taking a pregnancy test, after the time your period is/was due, even if you get bleeding, to make sure it is a period. An early pregnancy test may detect a pregnancy from when your period is due. Check the packaging.
Sorry, our replies crossed. Ovulation only lasts a few hours, although your fertile time is days long.
Not everyone conceives each time they ovulate. You may be lucky having sex around that time so far, but, if you are relying on apps/websites to predict your fertility, they are just a guide, I wouldn't be risking sex that close to ovulation, in case they get it wrong.
I chart my fertility signs each day, as contraception, so know exactly when I'm ovulating, but still wouldnt risk sex the day after ovulation. I avoid unprotected sex during my whole fertile time.
It's worth bearing in mind that sperm can live in fertile cervical mucus for up to 5/6 days, so you can get pregnant, when you ovulate, from sex you had 5/6 days before it.
