I’ve skipped around on birth control pills and now I started my period two active pills before the placebos. I’m cramping and bleeding heavy. I just had a period sept 31- Oct 6...
is it because I wasn’t taken my bc regularly? Crazy part is, I had the worst headache a day before it started. Should I still keep taken the active pills and see if I’m still on my period on placebos? Please help
Period came two days before placebo pills!?

Yes, the reason your period likely started early is because your body is very sensitive to the hormone levels in the birth control pills. When the dose changes, is missed, or lowers from missed or late pills, this causes a sort of "withdrawal" of that level of hormone so your body responds by beginning your monthly cycle and most likely, ovulation. I would recommend staying on track with the rest of your pill pack just as you normally would, but use an additional method of contraception for the next month if you're using the pills for that. Periods can be heavier and more painful when the cycle is "thrown off", which might have caused your headache as well. Your period may last through the week of placebos, but I would stay on schedule with your pill pack and begin your new pack on time as well. If bleeding continues beyond the first week or so into your next pack, call your doctor for more information. Remember that any time you take a pill later than every 24 hours or completely miss a dose, this can trigger ovulation and you can become pregnant - just so you know. Hope this was helpful.
Okay. Thank you! I’m freaking out because i normally starts on 31st/1st... and I might be ending. So that means I’m pregnant?
