How often do people taking nefazodone get their liver platelets tested?

So, I presume you’ve had your question answered already. But, if not, here’s what my doc had to say about my concerns about hepatotoxicity: “all meds affect the liver somewhat. The reason why nefazodone was taken of the market for a while years back is because there were a few deaths that were loosely linked to its use being causal of liver failure. But those cases were never well-investigated & seem to be, based on the literature, wholly unsubstantiated. That is not to say that some people won’t have issues with their liver because of this medicine, but by all accounts, this medicine is just as safe, or perhaps even more, than tons of other anti-depressants.” He suggested that if I were ultra concerned about it, and still on the meds in three months, that we schedule a follow-up 3 months out to test my levels. Which I did. NOTE: My doc has me get labs done each time before I start a new med.

I just started nefazodone last week. Thus far I feel more tired and fatigued than usual, but other than that, no negative, as well as no positive effects.

Hi, I have had mine checked every 6 months to 1 year, and my one Doc said that was too much, every 2 years would be fine.. So far so good after almost 24 years, I just want them to make it again, as I will run out if they do not ! Others have, others will - PLEASE TEVA make this again asap !
