There are many medications available to treat both conditions. Having mentioned that, high blood pressure may be caused by many different factors and if not treated properly it can be dangerous, most medications are prescription only, meaning your patient has to be examined by a medical professional in order to get on the right medications to treat his/her conditions and be monitored by his/her Cardiologist regularly.
With regards to high cholesterol also, a Cardiologist is the medical professional to treat high cholesterol because most medications are prescription only. Your patient also needs to have an appointment with a Nutritionist.
I am not a medical professional, and it would be irresponsible if I said take this for high blood pressure and this other one for high cholesterol. I am not qualified to do so, nor would I do as everyone reacts differently to medications, plus the Dr. has to find (trial and error) the medications that best suit your patient with minimum risks, side effects and interactions and again monitored your patient's treatment and safety.
Other people may share their experience with the medications they take, remember everyone reacts differently to everything in life, safety above all.
