I was on Zoloft and it was Very effective for panic attacks. I went to driving all over the city at night and everything no problem. I ended up on 100 mg dose. Because back then they have the starter kits. It was 25 mg the first week, 50 mg the second week, 75 mg of third week, and then up to 100 mg.
Also pay attention to how much caffeine you’re having. Or energy drinks or any sources of stimulants. Beets are a stimulant also. I’ve been taking the Calm gummy’s and they’ve really helped. You’re allowed to have four gummies a day and I have four every day. they have magnesium and that helps calm anxiety.
"Initial dose: 25 mg orally once a day, increased after one week to 50 mg orally once a day
Maintenance dose: 50 to 200 mg orally once a day.
Dose adjustments may be made at intervals of at least one week.
These conditions generally required several months or longer of sustained pharmacological therapy beyond initial treatment."
Anxiety disorders are notoriously resistant to treatment and many people are going to require higher doses over a longer period of time.
Yes, some people may find lower doses effective but many will need to go as high as 200mg/day.
Do you have any idea what might have triggered the panic attack. Did something happen to upset you?
