There has been a rumor lately that drinking 7up with Panadol is fatal. I wonder if this is true. And why if so?

taking panadol with carbohydrates (sugars) may decrease their absoption from gastrointestinal tract. as 7up also contains sugar hence is may cause the same. the usual therapeutic effect of panadol may not be obtained in this case. so i advise to avoid taking carbohydrates containing foods two hours before and after taking panadol.

Surely they're joking with you. I can't think of a reason why it would cause any kind of reaction.
