I have been taking oxybutynin 5mg tablets twice a day for the past few days for hyperhidrosis which has been working for the sweating, but I’m struggling with some side effects, especially dizziness to the point that I feel like I can’t leave the house. How long do these side effects last? Do they disappear once you have got used to them?

Dizziness is considered a very common side effect affecting up to 17% of patients. Having said that, very common to common side effects subside within a week to 10 days approximately in most people, if it doesn't subside inform your Dr..
I suggest that in the meantime you ask your Dr. or your Pharmacist/Chemist what you can take to ease this side effect.
