Oxcarbazepine - Does it cause High blood pressure?

I think I'm having a similar experience. I'm on oxcarbazepine usually 300 mg 4x per day for left-side trigeminal neuralgia facial nerve pain, but I've been in a worse pain flare-up for over a month now, so I was taking more just trying to find some relief. I recently went to the emergency room and two doctor visits and two dentist appointments. Each time my blood pressure was higher than usual. The doctor told me to take the prescribed amount of oxcarbazepine 300mg 4x daily and added baclofen 5 mg 3x per day. I'm still in excruciating face pain and keep having occasional random chest pains. I test with a relative's blood pressure cuff at home and it's mostly fine, just higher than my usual readings. Pain can also make blood pressure readings slightly higher. Just to be sure, I'm trying to keep an eye on my sodium intake so I don't develop hypertension.

I was on Trileptal for 2 years and my blood pressure went way high and stayed that way until i went off. I took 600mg twice a day. i told my neurologist i thought it was related to the trileptal and he did not agree. When my sodium went too low they took me off. I went for my bi-annual appt last month, and my blood pressure was back to normal. i would say it was related.

I only take 150mg 2x a day, my blood pressure has sky rocketed since I have been on this medicine. Generally run 90-100/60’s, yesterday it was 159/84. Pulse was in 90’s and usually it is between 40-50. I know this is low dosage, but I seem to be hypersensitive to many medications

My BP went higher than normal for a few months after I started taking Oxcarbazepine but it mostly leveled out normal after that. I was on a fair low dose low of 600mg two times a day. My medicine was recently increased a little to see if it helps more with my seizures so will see if that makes a difference but hoping it wont make a difference in BP.

Cardiovascular

Common (1% to 10%): Chest pain, generalized edema, hot flushes, hypotension, leg edema
Very rare (less than 0.01%): Arrhythmia, atrioventricular block, hypertension
Frequency not reported: Bradycardia, cardiac failure, cerebral hemorrhage, palpitation, postural hypotension, precordial chest pain, tachycardia.
