I recently went and filled my usual Adderall 30mg prescription ,, however this time I opened the bottle and had some round light orange pills marked U31. I thought I had gotten the wrong medicines by mistake but looked on the bottle and the description matched the pills so I then googled it and can't find any info on these new to me, not sure if they are actual new to everyone. I'm wondering if anyone has taken them and how they work compared to other generics. I normally take the Barr brand and took my first dose of these this morning and FELL ASLEEP. This isn't good at all. Anyone have comments?

I wasnt going to respond but I have to because some pharma dude decided to say its in everyones head. Its not! Ive taken a few different generic brands and have never felt that they sucked. Some made my face flush, some made me a little more jittery and so on but they all worked! This U31 is so damn horrible that I had to look it up to see if others agree. My muscles are sore, major headaches, earaches, delayed speech, fatigue and thats just with 15mgs. I ended up taking 2-30 mgs in a night which I dont ever do because it sucks that bad, but I had to get through work. Its not in our heads that these pills suck, they need to be reevaluated!

I was on 15mg IR Adderall about 7 years ago. I remember the feeling very well. I believe I was taking core brand - the orange ones - anyone know if that is right? I also had the pink ones a couple times. Today I picked up a script and they were the 15mg U29 pills by Aurolife Pharma. I thought I was nuts after taking it and thinking, 'these don't seem right'. So I logged on and found this. I'm a very science based person and normally agree with the generic equivalence but something seems off with these. I feel almost nothing except some heart palpitations which I never had before - though to be fair back then I was also on 2mg Klonopin three times a day which I no longer take - and feel as though I can go to sleep. This is after taking an extra one 2 hours after the first because I didn't feel anything. I feel a little more focus but nothing like I remember. Maybe it IS in my head but I find it strange that what I thought is being reinforced here AFTER the fact. Curious at least.

Okay after continuing to take these they actually work just fine. However I have since to switched to 30 mg Mallincot - White eight sided tabs with m on one side and 30 on the other. I took 90 mg after which point I took 50 mg of Valium. After that another 120 mg of the Adderall and all I feel is awake. I did not think that 50 mg of Valium would have such a negative effect because I have a huge tolerance for it. For me to get any kind of buzz I need 70 to 100 mg of Valium. So I just find it strange that these different generics seem to do different things depending on different situations.

Same thing happened to me! I had one script of the U 31 and after an hour I was asleep. Idk what is in them but there NOT the same. I will never allow the pharmacy to give me these ever again.

I also recently received the u30 pill or 20mg IR amph. Salt mixture by Aurolife Pharma, LLC. In my opinion, the effects are EXACTLY the same as any of the myriad of generics I have been presecribed. However, the effects manifest themselves in different ways. For example, the u30 is a subtle yet focused effect that is perhaps longer as compared to a Teva 20mg. The Mallinckdroft 20mg is definitely composed of unusual fillers because the pills would dissolve in my mouth and practically break apart if I put a little pressure on them. These, also, felt “weak” but they lasted longer. It’s as if you are trading strength for time, so to speak.
Now, I’m not a big fan of IRs and personally prefer the XRs because I like the long-lasting effect for my day. The brand name Adderall XR in 25mg was absolutely useless to me. I took my usual dose and felt drowsy and fell asleep about an hour later. I have tried them many times, sometimes even later on in the day. I can’t believe that the brand-name Adderall would be stronger than a generic Zolpidem. Moreover, the side-effects were horrendous. I would become extremely angry and irritable until the Adderall effect’s wore off. Now when I switched out to the generic 25mg XR amphetamine salt combo, the difference was night and day. I was back to my normal self and the effects were just as they had always been. I didn’t do any sort of research about Adderall XR as this was the “real-deal”, so I think my opinion is unbiased. I think it might be an issue of formulation and mixture of fillers. Or a paradoxical effect such as when I take lorazepam and feel emotionally tense unlike with clonazepam which has the desired and expected effect.

I am dealing with the exact thing I took two 30 mg U-31 so I had 60 mg in my body and fell asleep. I deal with narcolepsy and will fall asleep while grocery shopping?! What happened to the real deal? I need the truth on these meds until 3 months ago I never had a problem I was taking COR 136. What has happened to the 'real adderal'
I was in the grocery store and was falling asleep, people were coming up to me asking if I was ok, it was embarasing for me.

Happened to me, too, out of the blue, so to speak. Deprived of nearly 20 yrs using Teva/Barr, had to take these foreign made pills. All I did was to sit down in Burger King and BANG!! my head hit the table, totally unexpected, and embarrassing!
After assuring the other diners and assistant manager I was fine, BANG!! it happened again. The janitor checked on me and whispered for me to gather my things and pretend to go to the restroom, but leave thru the side door. The asst manager was on the phone with the police, thinking I was using some drug.
I got outta there, lickity split, got on the bus, and it happened 3 more times on the ride home, my hot coffee cup slipped thru my fingers, spilled all on top of my jeans, shocked me awake.
So yeah, those 2nd, 3rd rate generic adderall brands full of NOTHING to correct ADHD, only CAUSES the adverse narcolepsy events they're supposed to prevent.

I don't know what type you were taking prior to getting the U31 pills. However, I have found from personal experience that Teva b 974 and 30 on the other side are better. They are orange oval (football) shaped. If you are getting your prescriptions from CVS, you will get the U31 pills. If you are concerned about getting your old pills then I would suggest calling other pharmacies in your area and ask if they have your script or the above Teva b 974 orange tablets. I think it has to do with the "fillers" in the medication. I also heard that the original Adderall had three salts. They used three salts due to a patterning law. I was told this, so I do not know if it is correct. I think the Teva b 974 are the best out there. I have taken Cor and U31 Adderall tablets. They do not work good for me. Everyone is different. So, if you can find the type you use to get then I would go that route. If not, then try calling around and finding the above ones.
Your pharmacy only orders x amount of each drug. You could of hit them when they were out and on back-order. Next time, ask the pharmacist if they have your type prior to filling. Once you walk out they can not take them back, for obvious reasons. You probably know that but just trying to help you out.
Also, companies change contracts. So, once the contract ends your pharmacy may decide to do business with a different manufacturer/contractor.

THE ADDERALL 30mg U31 is SLIGHTLY effective for only 30 to 40 minutes after ingestion.

There are people making these pills with pill presses homemade and using all kinds of different chemicals but mainly methamphetamine I've had homemade ones as a buddy of mine got them sent to him in the mail and I couldn't really tell the difference it seem like these ones are stronger but anyone can press those pills so if your pills fall apart very easily and look cheaply made they could be fakes nowadays I don't know about back in 2014 probably was happening then too

There definitely could be rand people with pill presses making them I've seen it but I've also seen real pharmaceutical made u31 pills.

I know this is an old comment, but I'm just now seeing it. I've gotten updates for this thread since I commented quite some time ago... The reason I'm responding to this specific older comment is because I think your theory belongs in another thread, or on a more appropriately relative med/drug site so the integrity of this thread remains in tact & isn't confused for something entirety different... which the nature of this comment, (certainly is). I'm not disagreeing with your theory, or your experience here, it just isn't relevant to particular aspects in regards to (actual, pharmaceutical adderall) that are what's being discussed in this thread.
This conversation is directed toward prescribed, or at least pharmacy obtained adderall and the difference from one manufacturer to another. Since there are several different manufacturers, and actual pills that are "the same" ie: 30mg Adderall- there's some question as to the effectiveness from one brand to another. (Most, or many) contributors in this thread are in agreement that the Orange
Round U31 Adderall don't have the same effects as other 30mg Adderall. I don't believe it was a matter of them being obtained on the black market, or elsewhere, where the potential for tainted, or compromised ingredients play a role in what we're discussing. I do, however, agree with you that when those or other assumed pills are obtained somewhere other than a pharmacy- the likelihood of being altered, and not at all authentic is more probable than not.

i just got them and it did the samething to me i fell asleep they suck i normally take the core and they work fine i have also had the peach colored that are sugar based do not work i had the thin lite orange one that are really thin they do not work either

I have been taking Adderall 30mg for almost 4 years and in that time I have almost always received the round pink tabs manufactured by Corepharma. Eight days ago I filled my script at Dillons and since then have broke out in a rash all over, have been sweating profusely and my ADHD symptoms have returned. I have had problems before with the fillers generic manufacturers use but have never been able to figure out what additive causes this. Obviously it is in this new peach pill. So now I have to call around everywhere to find out what pharmacy still has and will continue to order from Corepharma because Dillons/Krogers supplier is contracted with Aurobindo Pharma now, the suppliers of this "fake" adderall.

You guys that are saying these are bad. It is all in your head, the only differences are the fillers which are inactive and if anything will affect the absorption of the chemical and it will be so minute you could not tell.
Honestly this was the same thing that happened when people were saying the Mylan A4 Xanax 2mg pills were junk.
I work in the Pharmacology industry and the FDA has strict regulations on how much of the active chemical is in the medication. Plus amphetamines are extremely easy to make, anything made pharmaceutical grade is going to be of same quality.
Honestly its all in your head thinking these are weaker.

I'm just Curious, Why Does it Have to Be 100%, Hands Down, All in Their Heads? I Didn't Think Twice About The Difference in Appearance Since I'm Aware of The Same Drugs Having Several Different Appearances Depending on the Manufacturer. That Being Said, Upon Taking Them without Any Resistance or Suspicion that They "Might Not Work," -They Didn't Work. The Effects Were Absolutely Not There. Just as a Nuetral Party, I Have to Agree with Those Who Say They Don't Work. I Wish The Pharmacology Dept or Medical Community Would Consider the Validity of Those Who Take Them without a Hidden Agenda.

I agree that the U31 is weaker. I was taking the pink COr 136, however with the U31 I get the ability to focus without the feeling of, I am about to jump out of my skin. I prefer the U31.

Wow you study this stuff and you still have no idea? What's being said is very true. The second refil I had of adderall over a year ago I got stuck with the aurobindo manufacturer brand and it right away made me so tired i only layed down and closed my eyes. Well today my pharmacy gave me aurobindo once again after a year so I didn't think they would switch it seeing they haven't done that to me yet. Well they did and I decided to try it and is doing the same exact thing being dead tired. Also makes me feel a bit off. But yes it is true that different generics can affect you differently. Now I got to feel like this for a month☹️. I'm almost thinking I'd be better off not taking anything. The fillers binders effect how the medication is absorbed. You must have never taken adderall and tried aurobindo. It's worthless.

I have tried all brands of Adderal and the U31's are just as strong as any other brand in my opinion. Binders have very little to do with absorption, the chemical bind is broken during breakdown in the stomach and the amphetamine salts are absorbed without the binders to create the pressed pill. Honestly its all in the mind. You go in thinking something is gonna be weaker, its gonna be.

I find these new U-31 ÷M. A30 do NOTHING. I can take 2 30mg and go to sleep. Why are they selling products that do NOTHING? WHERE CAN YOU FIND THE MED WITH THE REAL INGREDIANT??

You are totally wrong. They are not all the same. The difference are the fillers and these fillers have an effect on the drug itself and the way it is absorb. I am on a high dose of adderall N have been for years. This pill the u31 is the weakest adderall I have ever experienced

I apologize if it sounds as if I'm doubting your knowledge of or dedication to your work but you are simply irrefutably wrong about it "only being in people's heads". I don't know how or why but there is a few kinds of Adderall (3 companies that I've found so far) that make the drug in a way that it not only doesn't work properly but they will actually do the opposite of what they are meant to do. Companies such as Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Inc., Aurolife Pharma, LLC., and Zydus will make myself as well as everyone else I know become extremely tired, it almost feels like taking a sleeping medication. I can't focus very well at all cause my head is so cloudy, then 15-20 minutes later I can't keep my eyes open and my whole body starts going numb during which I will be falling asleep for about a 20 minutes then wake up and can't keep my eyes open and fall back asleep for 20 minutes.
That goes on consistently for about 3-4 hours until the "Adderall" wears off and I can finally get up and keep my eyes open and brain conscience. On the other side of the spectrum there's companies such as Teva or Sandoz that do what Adderall claims it is suppose to do and will give me clear thinking and laser focus within 10 minutes of taking those brands. Within 20 minutes I will be wide awake and energized and wanting to go out and be productive. The feeling will last for around 7 hours or more for me.
I never once considered different brands could/would have completely opposite or different effects. I just took the kind the pharmacy had. One month they changed it and I thought nothing of it and just took them like normal and they worked like normal... but then the pharmacy changed the brand a 3rd time. Once again, I thought nothing of it and took 1 like normal and I waited over an hour for it to start working and then I started feeling strange and very tired. I thought it was just some fluke and tried another one the next day and same thing happened. I stopped taking them and went to a different pharmacy and they had one of the brands I use to take and within 10 minutes the difference was like night and day. I could tell without a doubt I had taken an Adderall. I've had a few mishaps with other brands sense then though. That's why I started paying attention to the company and the drastic (opposite) difference in each company. So, I can't guarantee it is not just in my head or everyone else's who have these same experiences. It's a bit rude to assume someone doesn't know how the prescription they're taking effects them and that they're only imagining it all when their medication from a new company suddenly does the opposite of what it has done for them for years. That's like saying "This can of soup tastes way different than what I usually eat" and me responding "It's completely in your head because it's only a different brand"

People who've been on a medication for any decent amount of time simply knows what they're taking feels like and how it effects them. When they receive the same mg medication and it doesn't work like it should or at all, even if they take 2-4 times their normal dose, with the only difference being that it's from a different company then something is obviously wrong with that company. Yeah the U31 Generic adderall is inferior to most of the other Generics of this particular Drug. My guess is you know this as now most individuals do, for some time. I don't understand how some Generic brands I have a hard time sleeping or staying asleep but with this one I can go to sleep and stay there! No Good at all in my opinion.Well of course you know I see your original question dates to 2014, so I am a bit late.
