It is the day I am to take it out for the first cycle and my doctor says that I should wait a month after starting NR before my boyfriend cums in me. We plan to start doing it the day after I take it out. So is it safe for us to do this?

A month would be when you put the next ring in. You should wait until then to have sex without a condom. Having sex, then having the man withdrawing the penis before ejaculation, does nothing to protect you from getting pregnant so you should wait a month to have any sex without using condoms. If your boyfriend is putting a naked penis into your vagina, he can still get you pregnant whether he ejaculates (cums) or not. Men secrete sperm all throughout the sex act, not just at ejaculation-granted, the majority are released during ejaculation but it only takes one to make you pregnant. He cannot feel or control this release of sperm but it happens, even if he doesnt see anything when he masturbates-vaginal sex is different than masturbation-so if you have been having sex and withdrawing before ejaculation, you may have already gotten pregnant. The reason to wait a full month or full cycle is to be sure that the hormones in the ring have prevented you from ovulating. If there is no egg, there can be no pregnancy. You can begin having unprotected sex after you have your period and you put your new ring in-then is when you will be ready. If you have been having sex and using withdrawal and you dont start your period, do a pregnancy test to be sure that you are not already pregnant before you put the new ring in place.
If you have not been having sex without a condom at all then sorry to have jumped to the conclusion but many women who ask questions on this site seem to be under the impression they wont get pregnant if their partner withdraws before ejaculation so I wanted to provide that as education to women who may have a situation similar to yours. I want to be sure that women understand that they can still get pregnant even if their partner pulls out before ejaculating. The way you worded your question made me think this might be the case but if it is not, sorry, I meant no offense. I was just wanting to educate false information.
I mean to educate against false information.
Thank you very much. That is actually what we have been doing but I haven't found any early signs of pregnancy in the time that we have been dating. But we were both aware that this could happen. and we took every precaution that we could. We tried condoms but he cant manage to keep an erection after the condom is on. But I thank you very much for your education and your concerns as well as your answer to my question.
He told you a month not 3 weeks, didn't he. There was a reason for that. It was so you would be protected.
You sound angry with your answer but thank you for your reply.
