If you are taking the extended release Norflex tablet (ie 100mg tablet) it has a special tablet coating. The coating is formulated in such a way that it allows a small amount of the active drug to be released into the body constantly (as opposed to a normal coating which releases the drug all at once) . This means you get a long lasting effect of the drug and may only need to take it once or twice a day.
By crushing the tablet you destroy the coating. You will get higher levels of Norflex in your blood stream which could lead to adverse effects.
