I have had my birth control for almost 2 years now , I get it taken out in October .. The rod has gotten longer , could it be broken ? Please respond , I'm getting worried ..
From what I read when I had my Nexplanon implant, it can break but it is fairly uncommon. The implant is very flexible. If it is broken, the most important thing to do would be to not separate the pieces. With a broken implant really the only concern would be getting all of the pieces out at the end of the three years. Because the implant has probably been covered in tissue to encase it by your body, if it is broken the pieces should stay in the same place as long as you don't try to move them.
