Does anyone else take name brand Klonopin? My pharmacy can’t find it! Does anyone know if it’s been discontinued or just on backorder? I’ve been taking Accord generic 4 days now and I’ve already having anxiety! Why can’t they leave things alone?

For anyone who has been following the rules of needing Klonopin has now been punished again by the anti-Benzo teamsters!! The manufacturer of the brand Klonopin by “Roche” has apparently decided to outsource the same process of ingredients and how they’re produced to the manufacturer H2 Pharmaceuticals who by the way has an extensive history of producing products correctly just as “Roche “ and they also manufacture numerous other brands of different meds. CVS can now order them just as long as the RX state’s brand only, do not substitute with generic. Also you need the Prescribing Physician to get a prior authorization and YES Medi-Cal, Medicaid-care Does Cover the Brand. So everyone just go through the above process and you’ll be fine once again, Thank goodness.
Thank you, thank you thank you for sharing this information. It was so helpful for me. I have spent almost a year dealing with mail order pharmacy such a nightmare once I had the manufacture information, they were able to order for me again.
Is it still sold at the brand name price?
Someone asked if it was sold at the brand-name price I had to get prior authorization through my insurance which is always a hassle, but in the end, I ended up getting a representative from prior authorization that told me exactly what the doctor needed to write on the form and it was approved.
Oh god no!!! I really hope they did not discontinue making the brand Klonopin . I can’t take any of the generics. The only one that worked for me was the original Teva. I have not tried the new Teva. I’m scared now. I take it everyday. Ugh
Yup, they didn’t stop making it the manufacturer that Roche was using for Klonopin stopped making it in January of 2022, this year. It’s now moved on to another manufacturer called H2Pharama but I guess they haven’t started making it yet. What do you mean by the “new” Teva? Did they change how the generic Klonopin was being made? I heard Teva is the only comparable generic?
A couple of years ago, Teva had stopped making Klonopin generic. And all the other generics were awful… I hear now Teva started making it again but it’s a different formula or made with different fillers so not as good as the original Teva. I hope I’m wrong and the new Teva is just as good as the old one or the brand.
I’ve been taking brand Klonopin for years and it’s been hard to get in at the pharmacy the past couple of months. CVS says it’s on back order. I was able to find a 30 day supply at another CVS that had it in stock. I contacted Roche who then transferred me to their manufacturer called Genentech.Genentech said they have discontinued making Klonopin in January of 2022 and it’s now been passed on to another Manufacture called H2Pharma. I called and left a voicemail and no answer. I just hope the “brand” is still the same quality now that another manufacture is making it. If not, I guess Teva it is. Sucks really bad.
Try Teva clonazepam. The active ingredient is the same as Klonopin and the inert ingredients are nearly identical except for the coloring agents.
I take brand name Klonopin. I tried taking generics and they were all bad, including Accord.
Sometimes, certain pharmacy's always run out of brand name so I switched pharmacy's and they seem to be fine. Even if its a less busy Walgreens, I don't have an issue.
I live in a small town in Texas and my pharmacy is telling me it’s on backorder. I’m just wondering if they don’t want to order it anymore. I’m going to call some places in the bigger towns. If you don’t mind me asking, what mg do you take and how much do you pay?
I haven’t seen brand name Klonopin in years here in Virginia. I take the generic name Teva. I have been taking it on and off for years and it has always helped me. Ask the pharmacist for a different generic. Teva is one of the best if you look at forums.
Has anything happened recently that would have made your anxiety worse? How long have you been taking it? When you were taking the brand name how long did it take you to break the anxiety cycle? Again, reach out to your pharmacy and talk with them. Klonopin is a controlled substance so they may have to contact your doctor. Prayers always help.
I am in Virginia and you have to have the pharmacy request the manufacturer H2Pharm. I use CVS previously could only get through Express Scripts my insurance mail order pharmacy because when Roche stopped making CVS said brand name was discontinued. I tried the Teva generic again which I used to take, and almost ended up in the hospital doctor did a therapeutic override. I got a partial, fill with brand-name what they had left for my previous orders, and switched to the mail order pharmacy, which was a nightmare until I realize the manufacture had change both from the label on the RX bottle from mail, order, pharmacy, and the helpful community here You all have been a lifesaver for me can't tell you how many hours I spent on the phone trying to get my medication filled with the mail order pharmacy. It is so easy now to be able to walk across the street to CVS and pick up my RX.
