Desonide topical cream is a steroid cream. It reduces the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, redness, and swelling.
Desonide topical is used to treat the inflammation and itching caused by a number of skin conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis.
It is not a fading cream and it is not normally used on the face. Secondly it should not be used long term. I would suggest you see your doctor again if your condition hasn't improved in 2 weeks.
